3 things to know about lined super sacks

Lined super sacks are the perfect choice for bulk materials that require a high degree of security during packaging. The liner covers the entire inside of the package so that the goods do not come into contact with the fabric and seams of the jumbo bag.

For very small powder and liquid materials, the use of leakproof thread is unlikely to be sufficient. In these cases, the FIBC bag is inserted with an FIBC liner to protect the goods inside from moisture and heat. What is special about lined super sacks?

Jumbo bags are industrial super sacks made of flexible woven fabric designed for storing and transporting dry bulk materials or fine-grain products such as sand, flour, and animal bran. FIBC bags are mainly made of thick coated or uncoated PP woven fabric.

The bag has 1 strap, 2 straps, or 4 straps. One loop big bags are suitable for one operator as there is no need for a second person to insert the loops into the fork of the forklift. Discharge is also very simple by opening the discharge bottom or cutting the bottom to open.

Structure of lined super sacks

The FIBC liner (Poly liner) is made from Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Nylon, or PE film. This inner liner prevents fine dust, water vapor, and moisture from sticking to the fabric. It is also used to control humidity with a thickness from 0.05mm - 1mm. The liners or PE liners have only one use, which is to line the inside of the bulk bag.

This liner is responsible for completely separating the product from the outside environment, avoiding moisture and the influence of temperature. The liner is usually made of PE (Polyethylene) material for its toughness and high resistance. Bulk bags with liners also somewhat help to increase the load.

If the product is exposed to rain or wind or contaminated with gasoline or chemicals, the fibc liner will protect the goods inside, which the outer woven fabric cannot do. In conditions of changing temperature, this liner also preserves the product better.

Size of PE liner

The size of the PE liner is usually determined based on the dimension of the super sack. Depending on the type and application of the material, the thickness of the inner liner can be from 60 to 120 microns.

Usually, 80 microns liner will be designed for FIBC bags with SWL of more than 1000kg. The material is usually 100% virgin LDPE, or other materials based on the request of the customer. FIBC liner is usually transparent, but can also be blue or other colors.

Types of lined super sacks

Jumbo bags with inner liners are often used to store ultra-fine materials such as powders and chemicals. In addition, fibc packaging is especially useful when storing and preserving foods such as rice, rice, flour, and protein. Liners can be customized to suit each type of bulka bag.

Tubular liner/ Lay-Flat Polyethylene Liner

The tubular liner is usually welded at the bottom. The disadvantage of this type is that the liner does not follow the shape of the bag, which may cause some difficulties when discharging goods. To overcome this situation, enterprises will use discharge systems for a smooth flow of materials inside.

Q-Liner/ Baffle Polyethylene Liners

Q-liners have baffles from PE inside, which will make the outer jumbo bag have the ability to remain square in shape. The liner is attached to the FIBC by sewing 8 glass tapes to 8 points on the top and the bottom of the bag. After that, the liner will be stabilized inside the big bags.
